The unexpected snow storm began yesterday morning and continued on through the night. This is what we woke up to.

Rocky is eager to go for his walk

Bald Eagle in the backyard, taken from my patio door

“Hold fast your dreams!

Follow the path of your dreams ©
Within your heart
Keep one still, secret spot
Where dreams may go
And, sheltered so,
May thrive and grow”
Louise Driscoll
Keep those dreams alive.
For this piece I used pencil crayon and photoshop.

Written by a friend for his wife ….. with permission to share.

For all you Romantics out there...
Mix
Sands of sorrow
Sands of time
Add
Today
Tomorrow
Your life
Mine
Stir
Your heart
My soul
The truth
Bake
Not to harden
But to hold firm
The flame of my soul
The love of my life

(Beware – this information could change your exercise regime as you know it!)
Answer: Sore Muscles
Simply put, Exercise makes them; Black Cherries get rid of them.

© Give me your best shot - Lactic Acid
When you exercise, your muscles will inevitably become sore.
Black Cherries, used as a remedy for sore muscles and inflammation, are an age-old remedy.
I’m discovering that Grandma’s remedies are proving to be more than just folklore.
Some years ago a grandmotherly friend of mine put me onto Black Cherries when I complained to her about sore muscles after exercising.
It worked then and works for me today!
Black Cherries contain powerful antioxidants and anthocyanins (anthocyanins are found in red/purplish fruits and vegetables)

Weapon of Choice - Black Cherries
Diets rich in Cherries:
• help the body get rid inflammation and sore muscles
• help with cholesterol health
• help with weight management
• are good for the heart
During my research, I discovered that February is both American Heart Month and National Cherry Month – that should say something about this Super Fruit.
In the months of the year when Black Cherries are unavailable, the best source is Black Cherry Concentrate. (can be found in your local health store)
Ways to enjoy the benefits of Black Cherries:
• On a cold winter day, I add 1 tbsp of Black Cherry concentrate to a cup of herbal tea.
• On hot summer days, I mix 1 tbsp of Black Cherry concentrate with water, add a tbsp of fresh squeezed lemon juice and a couple of ice cubes.
• Or I might just sit out in the sun and help myself to a bowl of them sweet cherries.
So, no more excuses. If sore muscles are holding you back from exercising, give this simple, 100% natural Super Fruit a try. It just might work for you too.
